About.
To be honest, I'm not expecting anyone to come to this page. But if you can read this, I guess you're interested about me (without malice, of course).
Get to know me by reading the rest of the page. Uhm, enjoy? :D
This is Reylee Was Here.
Welcome to Reylee Was Here, my little corner of the internet where I share travel stories, life lessons, and my adventures as a Filipino teacher living in Sapporo, Japan.
I started this blog to help people explore Japan and the Philippines while sharing what life is like when you live between two countries.
My goal is simple: to make travel and culture easy to understand, fun, and inspiring.
Who's Reylee?
Hi, I'm Reylee.
I’m Reylee: a Filipino ALT in Sapporo, Japan sharing travel guides, teaching tips, and expat experiences between Japan and the Philippines. Let's just say that I'm an OFW with a huge passion for content creation and writing.
Through vibrant stories and immersive content, let's turn wanderlust into action and show how anyone with a dream (and a plane ticket) can carve out an extraordinary life abroad.
Cheers for the souls who always crave for more.

My Story
I grew up in the Philippines, surrounded by beautiful beaches, colorful festivals, and warm, friendly people.
Years later, I moved to Sapporo, Japan, a city known for its snowy winters, ramen, and amazing natural scenery. Living in Japan as a Filipino has been full of exciting adventures — and some challenges, too!
Through this blog, I share what I’ve learned about teaching abroad, adjusting to a new culture, and finding hidden travel gems in both countries.
Why I Do This
I believe travel is for everyone, no matter your budget or experience.
By sharing my stories, I hope to:
-
Inspire you to travel with confidence
-
Show you that living abroad can be fun and rewarding
-
Help you connect with new cultures and people
-
Give practical tips to make your trip simple and stress-free
